Chris Sandford 1947-2022

There will be a memorial service to celebrate the life of our beloved Chris on:

Thursday December 15th, 2022
10:30am

St James the Less
(Thorndike Street - off Moreton St), Pimlico

If you would like to take part but are not able to attend the ceremony in person, you may follow the livestream online, please go to www.sjtl.org then click on the ‘Zoom into Church’ icon.

It will also be recorded for those unable to join at the time.

A reception will follow at the Church, for us to be together.

We were very touched by the tributes from the National HIV Story Trust here , and Chris's former NHS colleagues here

For those wishing to pay their own personal tribute to Chris, we have established an online book of celebration and condolence here

For anyone not online, the family may be reached at Chris' address in London.

The family respectfully requests no flowers and that any donations, if desired, go to www.justgiving.com/robertgracetrust to further Chris' legacy.

Since his teenage years, Chris was dedicated to helping others. Amidst the outbreak of HIV in the 80s, he was part of the truly remarkable community that came together in the spirit of hope. Most recently, he was campaigning to ensure this heartfelt story is never forgotten.

If you would like to learn more and help to pass on this story - Chris's story - you can find out more here, and in an in-depth interview Chris gave for ITV's World AIDS Day coverage this year.

Please feel free to share this invitation with Chris' friends, colleagues and acquaintances. He was a very special person for very many people.
